Introduce Mashumarosou

Hi, we are Mashumarosou, ANKC-registered Shiba Inu’s Breeder in South Australia, Australia. We have been owning Shiba since 2019, now mainly focusing on showing. All of our dogs are family members and are treated as such!

We aim to show and breed quality Shiba Inu that conforms to the standard set forth by the Nihonken Hozonkai (NIPPO) and ANKC. To strengthen our team, we have imported a beautiful bloodline and Nippo awarded winner bitch from Japan.

In our breeding program, we try our best to make the best decision for our breeding program and also avoid any genetic problems or negative traits. To provide a happy and healthy Shibas, all of our dogs and bitches were examined and passed the general health test by a government-approved vet. Also, we paid extra costs to examine their hip & elbow, eyes and patella tests, which were all passed and within normal range.

We are also registered as a Nippon-registered overseas kennel. Our Nippon registered kennel’s name is Mashumaro. We have been owning a beautiful bitch, she won an award in the most famous Japanese Dog Show (Nippo).

International handling/ showing

We went to Japan to show our lovely Shiba Inu in the most popular Japanese All Breed Champion International show (JKC Sukura Show 2024).

This was a good experience for us to learn more about Japanese Shiba Inu and handling. This was our first time to handle our Shiba overseas. Asuka was doing well in the indoor show. Meanwhile, we appreciate it and thank you to our Japanese breeder and friend for helping us.

Before Breeding….

If you do some research about Shiba Inu, you will notice there are a few common health concerns in Shiba Inu. The most common health concerns are hip dysplasia, patellar luxation and cataracts.  So, all of our stud dogs and bitches are tested, such as hip/ elbow test, patella test and eyes test before we decide to breed them. All the approved result documents will be attached to our puppy pack.

❤️What will the responsible breeders do before breeding?

The responsible breeders should bring their dogs and bitches to the government-approved vet to examine their general health before breeding. Also, they will examine extra specific tests for Shiba Inu, including hips, elbows, patella and eyes.

💕Could I ask the breeder to have a look at the results?

Definitely yes. You can ask for the breeder, and I believe that they are happy to share copies of the parents’ health testing. A responsible breeder should try his/her best to make the best decision for their breeding program and also avoid any genetic problems or negative traits. Please remember there are no perfect dogs. All of the health tests and examinations can be identified are they responsible breeders or not only.
